REQUEST FOR COMMENTS ON THE

DRAFT PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATION

MANAGEMENT POLICY AND INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT BILL

 The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders have developed a draft Public Relations and Communication Management Policy and draft Bill for the establishment of the Institute of Public Relations and Communication Management (‘the Institute’) whose aim is to provide a regulatory framework for Public Relations and Communication Management profession in Kenya.

The expected outcome after stakeholders’ consultations is a comprehensive Policy and Bill that seek to establish the Institute as a statutory self-regulatory body for Public Relations and Communication Management practitioners both in public and private sectors in Kenya fully backed by law.

Interested members of the public and private organisations are therefore invited to submit substantive and specific proposals and/or comments for amendments on the draft Public Relations and Communication Management Policy and Institute of Public Relations and Communication Management Bill, to the address below:

The deadline for submission of comments is by close of business on Friday, 20th December 2019. Thereafter, a stakeholder forum will be held to review and consolidate the submitted comments.
